Hey, what about me?

Yes, Scotty is still around and is adjusting to the new arrival fairly well. He was especially happy to discover that babies and cats tend to like the same lounge areas. Ahhh, fleece freshly warmed by a small child, what could be better? Scotty has dealt with the new sounds and smells like a champ and if all he asks is an hour or two in the Bundle Me, so be it.
Yup, the two of them have become regular pals. It makes sense really, they share similar lifestyles. A typical day for a cat and a baby appear to this guy as pretty much the same. They both wake up their "tenders" with some sort of crying or screech. We get up early, cuddle, diaper (or clean the box) and feed them. After that, they spend the rest of the daylight hours napping, eating and exploring. After a tough day of wandering about and seeing what the world (or living room) has to offer, they kick back and settle in for dinner.

Ah, the good life.

You are lucky! I don't think our cat is going to adjust so easily!! Did you do anything special to help ease in the baby? I have heard bring a blanket home from the hospital with baby smell on it...etc. Want another cat :) ?

We didn't really do anything special. He freaked out when we first brought Elsa home, but he calmed down when we fed him right away. It did take a couple weeks for him to "get used to it" though.

I have heard the blanket trick works with dogs, but I don't know about cats.
