Trip to Minnesota in June!

So we are really far behind on the blogging lately! We will try to get caught up. Spring and summer have been a whirlwind, but we did take a break and went to see Kennet's family in Minnesota for a week in June. It was a fantastic trip with beautiful weather and time to see friends and family. We celebrated our niece Ella's baptism, our other niece Anna's 3rd birthday, and Father's Day. We spent a lot of time watching the girls play together and really enjoyed our week. We had a wonderful vacation out there and can't wait to see them all again at the end of August here in Spokane for Elsa's 2nd birthday party! Here are some pictures from our week out there. We also have lots of pictures from summer and the 4th of July at Flathead so we will get those up here soon too.
One of Elsa's very favorite things to do these days is to water the flowers!!! She helped Nona water hers in MN too!
Poul with Ella, Anna, Elsa and Susanna in front of the Bertelsens in Minnetonka, MN.

The Bradburns! Anna, Charlie, Ella and Marian. We celebrated Anna's 3rd birthday while we were in MN and Ella's baptism.

Kennet, Susanna and the 3 girls at the pool we took them all to. We all had a great time!!

Elsa playing in her swimsuit, she is loving summer!!
Anna and Elsa playing with the hose in the backyard, they had a ball running through the sprinklers and washing their feet!

Elsa loved the Como Zoo in St. Paul, but her favorite had to be the giraffes.
Kennet is holding her up so she can the this one nice and close. We also saw an adorable baby giraffe but could not get a good picture of her.

Nona Susanna with Elsa and Anna on the merry-go-round at the park.

It was such fun to watch the girls together all week! Elsa and Anna are 14 months apart, and they had a ball together!
Teeter-Totter!!

Here we are outside of the Bradburns house after the baptism.

All dressed up for our niece's baptism.

Mother's Day Weekend!

I had a really nice Mother's Day last weekend! In fact, the whole weekend was beautiful and sunny and we spent most of the weekend outside enjoying the warm sunshine. Kennet and Elsa made Mother's Day weekend very special. We took Elsa to a parade downtown on Saturday morning which she loved!! There were tons of marching bands and she was so excited! We had a great time! Sunday was another really nice day so we headed back dowtown to Riverfront Park. We met up with some good friends for some shopping (Elsa and I got matching Keen sandals...so cute!!), a carousel ride, and lunch at O'Doherty's. Kennet cooked me a fantastic dinner of scallops, polenta cakes, and a warm spinach and red pepper salad. It was delicious!! Here are some pictures from the weekend!
Getting ready to take Elsa down the Radio Flyer wagon slide downtown.

Here we are looking at the ducks at Riverfront Park on Mother's Day.

Kennet took Elsa for a carousel ride! She was afraid to ride the horse but was okay with the bench with Da-Da!

Spokane Falls are running a little high right now, it was an incredible site!

Here we are at the parade last Saturday morning. Elsa absolutely loved the marching bands!!

More parade...

Easter and Spring!!

It has been forever since we have blogged, here is what has been going on...again, we have been really busy at work lately but also have been taking a little time to enjoy Spring in Spokane! We have actually had some really nice days and have gotten out to parks and Kennet has been getting a little golf in too. Here are pictures from March and April...the above is on Easter Sunday.
Elsa is checking out what the Easter Bunny brought her! Thanks to all the grandparents, aunts and uncles for the great stuff!!

Here is Elsa in the Mexican dress Brittany and Cameron brought her!!

New Easter dress from Grammy and Papa!!
Kennet and I took Elsa to see the ducks at Manito Park on Easter Sunday.

Lots of fun surprises awaited Elsa on Easter morning!

The neighborhood egg hunt was fun but cold and rainy unfortunately. Elsa LOVED her sugar cookie though from the Easter Bunny!

Meeting the bunny!

Kennet's Dad Poul came to Spokane on a very short work trip so we had him at our house overnight. It was great to see him!

At the park enjoying the sun and tryng out Daddy's shades!

Elsa and her friend Ragan are loving the swings at our nearby park!

More fun at the park!

Elsa and her good friend Kolt playing outside.

We went to see friends Suann, Ragan, and Cade to decorate cookies for Easter...we had a great time, but Elsa was again more into the eating than the decorating!

Frosting a sugar cookie before Elsa lost interest and only wanted to eat them! Heheh!

Las Vegas!!

Kennet and I took our first trip away from Elsa last weekend to Las Vegas! My parents came over and watched Elsa and we flew off to the sunshine!! It was an incredible trip with fantastic weather!! We stayed at the Mirage on the strip. I highly recommend it!! The pool is huge with waterfalls and people everywhere. It was low 70's, which felt very warm to us!!
Again, fantastic pool!! Heated and open year-around!

We played golf at Desert Pines Golf club on Friday. It was a very challenging course with tons of sand and other assorted desert trouble to get into but we had a great time.

Here is Kennet hitting over the water. It was a great shot onto the green!

Here is another view from the cart path of the great course. We played with Bob and Paul (kind of like the Bryce and Gary of Orange County...quite the pair they were.)

Kennet in front of the Venetian Hotel on the strip.

We walked down to the steak house at "Paris" and then came back to the volcano erupting at our hotel, the Mirage. This is the Mirage behind us. It was kind of cool at night but just a little sweater or jacket was all we needed. Perfect time to go to Vegas!

Self-portrait. It was hard to get many of us together since we were there alone, but we tried...

This is the first night, we went out for seafood and gambling. Good times. Kennet lost at Blackjack, but I actually did quite well at the Roulette table!!

Right after we got there...this is oustide Cesars Palace. I have no idea who the other girl is...

Our hotel The Mirage. Perfect location on the strip!

The Bellagio gardens do seasonal floral and plant presentations. This picture was for Elsa...she loves ladybugs!!! This is hundreds of little red flowers.

Kennet was thrilled to be looking at flowers and butterflies...he was a little anxious to get to the casion and the bar!!

The Bellagio Gardens. Love the tulips!

Okay, here he is playing video poker. You can see he is smiling more than in the flowers!
