Today is Elsa's First Birthday!! We had a neighbor and friends party for her on Sunday in our backyard and are going to Flathead Lake one more time this summer this weekend for Labor Day where we will have a family party for her! The year has flown by and Kennet and I are so thankful to have such a healthy and happy daughter in our lives. She truly brings us joy every day!! Here are some photos from her party on Sunday. Kennet's parents Poul and Susanna came this past weekend for a visit. It was great to have them here for the weekend! Unfortunately, it was over 100 degrees the whole time they were here, so we were not really able to do much outside. However, they were a huge help to Kennet and I in getting the basement project finalized!! Poul and Kennet hung the final pieces of wood trim Sat. and we actually moved the TV and furniture down there Sunday! The basement is finally finished and we are so excited!! What a process it has been. Kennet worked so hard and finished almost all of it all by himself with a little help from Charlie, Poul, Mark, and I may have forgotten someone but truly Kennet did almost everything alone. We will post some pics of that soon!

As usual, we are a few weeks behind on getting pictures posted on the blog! We spent time at the cabin again a few weeks ago with my Mom's side of the family, the Keasters. Brett and Carlen brought baby Maren. Elsa loved looking at her and giggling! We all had a great time!

8-12-08

Well, today is our 8th Anniversary! It is hard to believe 8 years has flown since our wedding in Missoula in the forest fires of August 2000! Kennet cooked me a wonderful dinner last night of filet and scallops to celebrate (I have golf league tonight)!

All is well here. Elsa starting crawling awhile back and we had to do some major babyproofing of the house! She is a pro now and looks like she will take off walking shortly! Yikes!! Her first birthday is 2 weeks away...the 26th and we cannot believe it! We are planning a neighbor party on the 24th and a family party at Flathead over Labor Day...why not celebrate twice??

We'll get some pictures on here shortly of Elsa in her pigtails and crawling and all kinds of other recent milestones and adventures!!

Cowboy Kennet!

Kennet had the opportunity to go out with a client on his beautiful property on horseback a few weeks ago. Not a bad day at the office! Kennet said they rode for a few hours and found what they were looking for in a site, as well as had a great time!

Morning of the 4th of July - Cousins Bryce, Elsa and Drew playing! We sent this picture to my cousin Brett and his wife Carlen who delivered their baby girl on July 4th just after midnight! Welcome Maren Mae, you little firecracker!! Can't wait to meet you!

Kennet and I took Elsa over to Flathead Lake for 5 days over the 4th of July and met up with the whole Bondurant clan for a reunion of sorts. We had beautiful weather and really had a chance to relax and enjoy the lake and each other! The whole family was there! My Mom and Dad and his brother Jim (wife Candy (CA), daughter Christina, her husband Ryan (Portland) and even their baby on the way, my Aunt Dede (AZ), the Cranes (Becky, Stuart, Bryce and Drew of NM), Brittany and Cameron (Polson!) and Kennet, Elsa and I! It was quite the Grizwald holiday and we had a blast and can't wait to all get together again soon!

Trip to Minnesota in June!

Kennet, Elsa and I took a week off in June and went to Minnesota to visit family and friends for a much-needed vacation! We had a great trip!! We were able to be there for Kennet's first Father's Day, Anna (our niece)'s 2nd birthday, and to introduce Elsa to Uncle Nathan and Aunt Hande in town from New York. It was a busy week but a ton of fun! We took in the Minnesota Zoo, some outlet shopping, played some golf, saw a Twins game, did a lot of celebrating (Kennet's first Father's Day, Marian is pregnant, Anna's B-Day, etc.), and really vacationed!!
